The Division of Molecular Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor with an anticipated start date of Fall 2018 or Spring 2019. The division is a highly interdisciplinary and interactive group engaged in cutting edge research.
The successful candidate will teach pharmacokinetics at the professional Pharm.D. and graduate level. The candidate’s teaching should involve student-focused methods of active learning geared toward both doctor of pharmacy students and graduate students in the basic and pharmaceutical sciences. The candidate is expected to work collaboratively with faculty across disciplines, including Pharmacotherapy faculty, to develop integrated curricular content that utilizes innovative strategies in problem-based learning methods. The candidate must be willing to engage in productive interdisciplinary research and actively participate in college and university wide service.
We seek individuals with demonstrated excellence or great potential for establishing a successful collaborative, interdisciplinary and extramurally funded research program within the pharmaceutical sciences with special emphasis on (but not limited to): drug metabolism, drug transport, pharmacogenomics and the formulation and physicochemical characterization of biological therapeutics. Applicants should preferably hold a professional degree in pharmacy and a Ph.D. in the pharmaceutical sciences. Those with a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences or related fields with a strong foundation in pharmacokinetics are also encouraged to apply. Significant postdoctoral research and/or industrial experience is required for junior applicants.
